An independent studio of free mock-comment and chat generators, made for creators, educators and designers.
GenComment (gencomment.com) is a small, independent web app that lets you build realistic-looking social-media comment and chat images in your browser: TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube comments, iMessage and generic chat threads, and Geometry Dash level comments. Every tool is free to use, renders on your own device, and downloads a clean PNG with no watermark.
Why we built it
Creators constantly need a comment as a visual: to answer a viewer question in a video, to storyboard a skit, to illustrate a tutorial, or to mock up a campaign before it goes live. Screenshotting a real comment means chasing the right thread, cropping around other people’s usernames, and hoping the app’s layout does not change tomorrow. The existing generators we tried were either covered in ads, stamped a watermark on every download, or drew a comment that no longer looked like the real app.
So we built our own. The TikTok Comment Generator started as a single page in June 2026 and grew, tool by tool, into the set you see in the left rail. Each platform gets its own hand-tuned layout, fonts, spacing and light/dark treatment, checked against the current app design rather than a generic template.

How the tools work
You type a username and a comment, adjust the badge, likes, timestamp and theme, and the preview redraws instantly. When you press download, the image is rendered by your browser and saved straight to your device. The text you type and any avatar you upload are not needed on our servers to produce the file. If you use the optional AI comment maker, only the short description you provide is sent to an AI model to draft suggestions.
How GenComment is funded
The core generators are free and will stay free. We cover hosting and development in two ways: an optional Pro plan and credit packs for people who need higher-resolution exports, bulk AI suggestions and a saved file library, and, on some pages, advertising served by third-party networks. Ads never change what the free tools can do, and our Privacy Policy explains what advertising partners may collect and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Responsible use
These are mockup tools. They exist for storytelling, tutorials, design comps, classroom examples, memes and harmless entertainment. Please do not use a generated image to impersonate a real person, fabricate evidence, harass anyone, or pass a mock comment off as a genuine record. Our Terms of Service spell out the acceptable-use rules, and we act on reports of misuse.
GenComment is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Meta, YouTube, Apple or any other platform whose look we imitate. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners and are referenced only to describe the style each tool reproduces.
Who is behind it
GenComment is designed, built and maintained by a small independent team of web developers and content creators. We ship updates several times a month, re-check every layout against the live apps when they change, and read every message that comes in.
