GenComment (gencomment.com) is an independent web app for making fictional social-media comment and chat images. This page collects, in one place, the trademark notices and use limits that apply to every generator on the site. Each tool page repeats only the one line that concerns it and links here for the rest.

1. Not affiliated with any platform

GenComment is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or otherwise connected to any of the companies listed below, or to any other platform whose interface a tool imitates. Nothing on this site connects to those services: no comment is posted, no message is sent, and no account on any platform is read or created. The images are drawn in your browser from text you type.

2. Trademarks and their owners

The names and marks below are the property of their respective owners. They appear on gencomment.comonly to describe the style a tool reproduces (for example, “a WhatsApp-style chat”), never to suggest that a platform made, approved or is involved with the tool or its output.

If you own a mark that appears here and believe it is described inaccurately, or should be removed, write to us at the address in section 7 and we will respond promptly.

3. Every image is fictional

Comments, usernames, avatars, like counts, timestamps, read receipts and chat messages produced by the tools are invented by you or generated on request. They are not records of anything that happened on a real platform, and they must never be presented as such. Any resemblance between a generated username or message and a real person is coincidental unless you introduced it, and doing so deliberately is prohibited by our Terms of Service.

4. Interface likeness

The tools reproduce the general look of each interface — bubble shapes, colors, badges, tick marks, layout — so that a mockup reads as the platform it imitates. Platform interfaces change; we re-check layouts against the live apps when they change, but a generated image may differ from the current version of a platform in small details. Assets that belong to a platform (icons, wallpapers, fonts) remain the property of that platform.

Where a preview uses a wallpaper, background pattern or icon set that resembles one a platform ships, it is included only so the mockup reads as that platform, and it is never offered for download on its own. We make no claim to own such assets. If a rights holder believes any asset on this site infringes their rights, we will remove or replace it promptly on request — normally within 48 hours of a notice sent to the address in section 7 — without requiring a formal legal demand.

5. AI-generated text

Where a tool offers AI-written comment or reply suggestions, the text is produced automatically from your prompt by a third-party language model. Suggestions can be inaccurate, generic or unsuitable. You choose whether to use them, and you are responsible for what you publish.

6. No warranty and responsible use

The tools are provided “as is” for parody, storytelling, tutorials, design comps, classroom examples, product demos and harmless entertainment. Do not use a generated image to impersonate a real person or business, fabricate evidence, defraud, harass or defame anyone, or spread misinformation. The warranty exclusions, liability limits and acceptable-use rules in our Terms of Service apply to every image made with the site, and our Privacy Policy explains what stays on your device.

7. Contact and takedown

Trademark questions, asset takedown requests or reports of misuse: email hello@gencomment.com, naming the page and the asset or mark concerned. You can also reach us through the Contact page. Takedown requests are acted on first; we confirm by email once the asset is removed.
